RI camp day1


YAY!! I have survived the unbearable!! ok,thats a little too much...Anyway, I have just come back frm the 3day-2night orientation camp in RI.

For the camp,everyone brought tons of stuff, and then the PSLs( Peer Support Leaders) made us unpack and then pack everything in 30 seconds. ok ,it seems a lot of time,but look at the amount of stuff everyone brought!

After which they confiscated stuff Almost All Our Treasured Stuff, like handphones,books, psp , Wallets( mine contained $70 to buy my shorts) and even sweets OMG!! Instead of returning them at the end of the camp, the PSLs decided to eat it themselves!!My precious sweets!!

To my disappointment, i was paired up with a guy called Zen,instead of Shi Shi. Well, he looked kinda wierd and he is scared of the dark!! Is this Zen a MAN??!!

We were then lead to the air-conditioned hall -cool!- to do some cheers -not cool!!-. The cheers include--
1)Unite(raffles sacred cheer)
2)Spirit cheer
3)Kemama
4)North South East West
5)raffles Ichiban
6)Raffles Samba
So we spent the next FEW HOURS reciting and memorising the cheers.WTF.And we were there shouting like madmans until ma voice had gone hoarse. Well, it is expected tat we will be doin lots of cheers all because of the RAFFLESIA SPIRIT.haha. But most of the PSLs just stood there watchin us stupidly standin there doin cheers all wrong....The cheer i love best is UNITE!! IT ROX!!

Then we were made to do a simple yet gay dance wif the background music-reach.It was so gay lor!!We were taught how to dance by Joshua, head of Raffles voices (I cant help it but notice he looks like Deon,but a lot more gay).He did the solo on stage first wif the PSLs takin photo of him doin the gay dance. Wif those short pants, he is definitely--Sexy!!.............NOT!!haha.So we spent the next 3 hours doin the useless gay dance.

Then its Luch time, but i onli have 1 comment on the luch--It sucks!!!!

Our first activity was a very embarrassing one.Everyone had to go top-naked and use thier shirts as blindfolds. Then, we will be guided using words from the PSLs around the school compound.They are so Evil!!! They made us wet, poked us, took photos of us naked and also led us under chairs,over tables etc. The photographer also took photos of us naked!! I bet some of the girls from RJC saw us. Everyone was so sweaty that we kept breaking the train(we were suppossed to hold on to each other cos we had blindfolds on, so the end result looked like a train) The activity was Ultra tiring and we didnt learn anything frm it, although the PLSs insisted tat we had learnt tat teamwork is very important.

Then we were led to our Junior Block and learned about the houses-Baley, Buckely,Morrison, Hullet and Moor ( personally i wanna join MOOR cos it THE BEST HOUSE EVER!!)-, the rules and regulations( OMG!!1 time late 4 school, 1 demerit point!!Once u god 9 then u really die liao),
the school songs, how to tie our tie and recite the Rafflesian's Principle of honour.

Den we went to the field to pitch our tents.Heng I m frm scouts and tought my tentmates how to pitch it. Den we had our as-bad-as-luch dinner.

Then we went to bathe at the GIRLS TOILET!!how bad is tat?!?!
Well, finally we returned to our tents at 11.30 and i slept in the hot tent at 12.30.

Today is 3rd Jan, i noe, but because i was too lazy to write yesterday, i decided to write it today. Yesterday was the first day of school for ri and i, wearing my school uniform, met CCC, Chang Yao, Sean and DickRick at the MRT station to go to school together.

Before i continue i must comment on the uniform-the pants was f*@kingly short lah it is until above my knee cap! WTF.And the shirt!!It was soooooo Fu@*ingly long! if onli the pants were longer and the shirt was shorter!And the pockets!they were too shallow to contain anything!

In other words, i hate the uniform.

The school was humongous! and at the Junior block I was assigned to 1F wif Shi Shan. 1F!! thats 6F-5.CCC was in the same class wif Jayanth.Interesting fact=they have been classmates for 7 years including this year.Fortunately the classrooms were air conditioned ,but wat i dun like bout them is tat they seem so old.

We then went to the Raffles Square(I think this is its name) and sang the national anthem blablabla. But other than tat, we still have to move according to the commands given by the commander. WTF it was so hard at first(it wasnt english of course). Everyone was blurblur and did nothin.

After the stupid thing,thing, we had the long winded principal's assembly.I almost cant suppress the urge to go to the toilet.

We played some ice breaker games to get to noe each other in the class better and after which we had to come up wif the cheer and flag for the orientation camp in 15 min! wtf.Stupid student leaders!!The dictator Ben,whome i will be talkin bout in the next post, was our dumb leader and he created some really dumb designs for the flag!Even a pig can do better!!

The canteen was very,very small and i cant imagine how it could contain 2000+ students!

Well there is an orientation camp next mon and i cant wait to attend it.
